What do you call a 4 or 5 book series?

I'm annoyed. I know, it doesn't happen often, but I am. Why? Because there is no good word to describe a 4 or 5 book series. The Second Draeken War is comprised of four books, and The White Mage Saga will be five. Supposedly a four book series is called a "Quadrilogy". (What a mouthful.) I've also heard it called a quartet. A five is a quintet. Or sometimes I heard people say that they read "A series of four". Who has the time to say that? It's no wonder nobody uses them. How would you say them in conversation? "Hey, I found an awesome quintet last month." It sounds like you are dating one of four quadruplets. (I know, this isn't really something to be annoyed at, but hey, my editor has my book this week.) Now, I plan on fixing it. I've decided that the word "Qualogy" makes much better sense. So does the word "Quilogy". I've started using it in regular conversation with my author and reader friends, and they are starting to use it back to me. If anyone reads this, and likes this idea, spread the word. Oh, and pretend like it's actually a word. Words like "Selfie" are now in the actual dictionary because people used them so much. As big as the dictionary is there is not a word to describe everything. Nor is this the first time I've had this problem. Just so you know, here is the list of other words I've invented because I can't find them in the thesaurus.

Iseonix- opposite of a phoenix. A powerful frostbird. Sentenium- a period of 10,000 years. (I know, sounds legit, right?) Qualogy- a four book series Quilogy- a five book series

(this list doesn't include Lumineia specific words, except perhaps the Iseonix.)

Let's make this happen people, one word at a time. Then we can sit back and laugh when the world starts to use the terminolgy we started.

A baby, a book, and a birthday

For the last few weeks I haven't been on my website or facebook much. This is mostly due to my wife and I having a new baby boy, and all that entails. I am excited to get back into the swing of things, and hope to start writing on my blog and facebook on a more regular basis. Soon after the baby was born, I released the fourth book in my series, The List Unseen. I have enjoyed hearing the response from readers who have finished it. It is such a crucial story in my series, and connects so many things. Still, I am elated to be working on my next book. I am already a third done with the first draft, and I will announce it's title soon. Aside from that, I turned 31 this week, and I can't believe where my life has gone in a single year. A year ago I was still running a business, and thought that my books were a hobby. A year ago I only had 3 kids, and we hoped to get pregnant soon. A year ago my wife's car was dying, and my car wanted to die. Since then so much has changed. I have published 4 books, and have sold 40,000 copies. I now write full-time. I have a beautiful new son. We have been so fortunate to be able to replace both vehicles with more reliable ones. I would also comment on my wife, but she only gets more awesome and gorgeous each year. I am stunned by what has happened in a single year. And I have so much to look forward to. I wish to express my deepest gratitude to my friends and family that mean so much to me, my readers that love my work and make my wonderful career possible, and my wife. The english language has yet to invent a word good enough to describe her.

Thank you all!
